SWAT 4 impressions

The folks at HomeLAN Fed have posted some first impressions of VUGames' upcoming CQB shooter, SWAT 4, based on some MP time with the beta. Here's a clip: In terms of weapons and items, players have their choices of a number of sub automatic machine guns, shotguns, pistols, amour, smoke grenades, explosives and more. The opposing team has some non-lethal weapons to take down the VIP such as a taser gun and a pepper spray rifle. The team then has to secure the VIP via restraints. SWAT members can free the VIP via pliers. Also, doors in the level can be wedged by either side which can slow down the opposing team. Thanks Blue's News. Related News |

Tactical Gamer Radio is on the air! We cover all tactical first-person shooters and plan to interview leading tactical FPS fansite teams, mod teams, and developers. We're just starting out, so if you don't like a song, make sure to rate it when you hear it. Independent artists and bands, we're looking for cool-sounding music that doesn't promote irrational hatred. We're also in need of entertaining shows of all sorts that are related to tactical first-person shooters of any title or series. Give us a good idea, make a commitment, and we'll give you air time.

Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault reviews

Still undecided if you should go out and get MoH:PA? Well the guys at WorthPlaying have posted a review (87%) to help you decide. Here's a clip: MoH:PA, much like MoH: Allied Assault, is fairly historically accurate. Uniforms and languages on both sides of the battle are represented well, as are the guns and islands themselves. For players really interested in their battle facts, the Director’s Edition enables pop-up facts which appear at the top of the screen, about everything from gun specifications to short blurbs about the battles on the islands. Actual footage shot in the Pacific during WW2 is frequently used in game, such as the sobering view of ships burning in Pearl Harbor. Additional footage can be viewed from the main menu if the player so desires, such as that of the silent Marine drill team.More reviews at 1Up (90%) and IGN (78%). Rather wide spread of scrores there.. Related News |
